History of Copperton

Copperton is located in the mouth of Bingham Canyon. Copperton was established in 1926, by the Utah Copper Company to house its many employees and copper miners. Today it is home to approximately 800 residents and is the only mining town remaining for the Bingham Canyon Mine. A tight nit community that surrounds a large historic park, Copperton is a great place for that ‘small town’ feel.
